Coronavirus Impact on Peer Review
The AICPA Peer Review Board and VSCPA Peer Review Team recognize the impact of travel restrictions and health concerns due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on upcoming peer review due dates. Our top priority during this time is the health, safety and welfare of firm personnel and peer reviewers. As such, the AICPA Peer Review Board has granted automatic six-month extensions for peer reviewers, corrective actions and implantation plans with original due dates between Jan. 1, 2020, and Sept. 30, 2020. Despite the automatic extension, firms are still encouraged to have their reviews performed as soon as they are able. Please contact the VSCPA Peer Review Team at [email protected] or (800) 733-8272, option 4 to discuss your specific situation.
The VSCPA charges an annual administrative fee to each firm to cover the costs of program administration. These amounts have been designed to be sensitive to firm size.
