Elevate & Engage Series: Negotiation Skills
Overview
Want to grow as a leader but you're not sure where to start? Looking to level up your soft skills that will propel you further in your career?
To advance in your career, you need more than technical expertise — you need those elusive leadership skills that will level you up. That's why the VSCPA, with the help of our Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC), is putting on a series called, "Elevate & Engage," where you'll learn from experts and engage with peers around soft skill topics like networking, leadership, social media presence and more!
In this Elevate and Engage session, we're talking about negotiation.
How do you ask what you're worth in a meaningful and persuasive way while juggling a company's financial capacity? These conversations can feel high-risk. So much so that employees don't take the leap to advocate for themselves. But at the end of the day, negotiation is simply persuading leadership that you're a good return on investment.
