    4. Mastering the Art of Celebrating Your Wins | Materials

    Reflecting on your achievements – big or small – improves your physical and mental well-being, fast-tracks your career advancement, and builds your self-confidence. Celebrating even the small wins stimulates dopamine release in the brain. This feel-good chemical reinforces the learning experience (spoiler alert: change and growth are promoted through positive emotions more so than through discipline).  
     
    Yet, most of us don’t celebrate ourselves nearly enough.  
     
    Through live practices and breakout sessions, attendees leave this talk with practical and creative ways to celebrate wins every day and greater self-confidence!

    A discussion on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women on their path to leadership positions in the finance industry. We’ll uncover strategies for overcoming gender biases, building a supportive network, and leveraging one's strengths to ascend in traditionally male-dominated fields like finance and real estate.

    The ASK | Materials | Handout

    Navigate your way to a “Yes” as you learn to embrace “No.” In this session, Eva shares evidence-based strategies that will revolutionize your approach to negotiating and the art of "making the ask." Theorizing will take a back seat in this workshop as we break into groups and dive into action.

    Networking Reception

    Charcuterie for a crowd — continue connecting with attendees during this unique networking reception, where you'll learn how to create tasty and artfully eye-catching charcuterie boards.

CPE tracking | Top

Track the sessions you attended to earn your CPE credits. Please follow these steps:

  1. Choose your check in method: Please scan the QR code next to the session you are attending that’s listed on the agenda handout or outside your session room. This will take you directly to the session in Conferences i/o in order to check in and out.

    Or if you have a laptop, visit vscpa2.cnf.io on your web browser and select the session you want to check in to.

  2. Check into sessions: Once you select your session, enter your name and email address associated with your VSCPA account. Select the blue button that says "Check In Now." (Be sure to check in at the beginning of each session or you may not get full credit.).

  3. Check out of sessions: Once the session is over, you will need to check out of the session. Click the teal “Check Out” button at the top of the session you are currently in. Then click the blue “Confirm Check-Out” button.

  4. Check into another session: Continue scanning the QR code associated with your next session on the agenda or outside your session room. Or, if using a web browser to check into sessions, you will need to click “Home” and then select the next session and repeat the check-in and check-out process.

  5. Ready to submit your CPE?: Once you are ready to submit your CPE, go to “Menu” then “Your Check-ins”. Scroll to the bottom and select the “Submit Now” button. This will email you a receipt and send the information to the VSCPA.

You will receive your CPE certificate within two weeks. If you attend ethics, you will receive your ethics certificate separately and within a few days of the event.
