Richmond (Feb. 22, 2023) — The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) announces its new suite of 2023 courses from Essential Ethics — the go-to source for business ethics education for CPAs and accounting, finance, and other business professionals.

A nationwide leader in producing ethics courses with innovative content on the pulse of the accounting profession and business world, the VSCPA’s newest Essential Ethics offerings address the ethical issues professionals face every day working in a fast-paced and changing global environment.

“We have nearly 20 years of experience developing engaging and hard-hitting courses that help CPAs fulfill their professional ethics requirement,” said VSCPA President & CEO Stephanie Peters, CAE. “This year’s lineup expands our offerings further by tackling of-the-moment issues like ethical considerations in diversity, equity and inclusion staffing strategies.”

Essential Ethics courses are fresh and relevant, including:

  • Recruiting and retaining diverse talent: As businesses look to address ongoing capacity and staffing challenges, this course explores ethical best practices to recruit and retain a more diverse talent pool.
  • Tales of corruption: In this ripped from the headlines course, good business professionals can learn from the ethical transgressions of bad ones by investigating real-life fraud cases on insider trading, cryptocurrency schemes and more.
