Accounting Careers Month

November is Accounting Careers Month!

The VSCPA is participating in this nationwide initiative to raise awareness among middle and high school students of the exciting career opportunities in accounting. In addition to promoting our already stellar CPAs in the Classroom program, we are making a concentrated effort throughout November to promote accounting careers on social media, encourage CPAs to champion the profession, and more!

What teachers are saying:

“Having CPAs in the classroom helped my students see the impact and importance that accounting makes in a business. They met professionals in the field and got to see that you can have a rewarding career if you put in the time and dedication. The guest speakers inspired my students to explore the accounting field and showed them that accounting is much more than crunching numbers. It involves selling, crafting relationships, understanding the client's needs and much more. Today’s accountants are the trusted business partner you need to build a strong business.”

INSPIRE STUDENTS & REQUEST A SPEAKER

Introduce your students to the endless opportunities of a career in accounting. Request a CPA to visit your middle or high school. CPAs can also speak to students taking personal finance courses to fulfill their Virginia graduation requirements.

INSPIRE AND ENGAGE

CPAs can connect directly to middle and high school students through our CPAs in the Classroom program. We provide presentation help and materials. You can also help share your story and love of accounting on social media.
