Trina Gallaher, CPA, CGMA, is the vice president of O’Connor Consulting Services, LLC (OCS), a D.C.-based consulting firm. OCS specializes in providing high-level consulting services to the nonprofit community as well as interim accounting support services to small to medium-sized nonprofit organizations seeking cost-effective and timely finance and accounting services. Trina joined the team in late 2008 to assist Kathy O’Connor, founder and president, in growing and expanding the firm’s client offerings. Under Kathy and Trina’s leadership, OCS delivers an array of services such as interim CFO- and controller-level support, strategic planning and financial analysis, audit preparation and coordination, budget process implementation as well as staff training and process review and redesign. Prior to joining OCS, Trina devoted approximately 15 years serving both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She possesses an expansive knowledge in accounting and finance, which she gained working as a senior manager at KPMG, LLP and from her experience as a director and officer in financial services organizations. Trina has performed a variety of projects for clients including internal control and process improvement initiatives, policy reviews, technical research and performing financial analysis and modeling for clients. She has also worked with clients’ boards of directors and senior management teams to enhance board reporting and provide financial literacy training and spoken at industry conferences, such as the Greater Washington Society of CPAs’ Not-For-Profit Symposium.
