Bobby Ukrop is chairman and chief executive officer of Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, LLC, a producer of premium-quality, chilled-prepared foods and baked goods.
He began his business career in 1962 as a courtesy clerk at Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc. while attending George Wythe High School. A 1969 graduate from the University of Richmond (where he played basketball and golf) and a 1972 graduate of the Darden School at the University of Virginia, Bobby had a 40-year career at Ukrop’s, the last 14 as president and chief executive officer.
Bobby is actively involved in the community as a co-founder and board member of the Richmond Sports Backers; chair of SwimRVA; serves on the boards of the Collegiate School, Greater Richmond Partnership, VCU Business School Foundation; and is on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army. He previously chaired the board of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
Bobby continues to enjoy golf and swimming. He is a 5th grade Sunday School teacher at Second Baptist Church.
