Richard Wortmann, CPA, DABFA, is the founder of RW Group, LLC. He has more than 20 years of experience servicing organizations ranging from small closely held businesses to large public companies. Industries have included manufacturing, real estate, construction, nonprofit, retail, employee benefit plans, local governments, automotive, education, health care, broker-dealers and professional organizations. Wortmann has served clients both domestically and internationally. Wortmann started out as a staff accountant in a small local firm and progressed over the years to being a quality control partner for a large national firm. Professionally, he is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) serving on their National Peer Review Committee and the Members Retirement Committee. Locally he currently serves on the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA) Peer Review Committee and Accounting and Auditing Procedures Committee. He is a frequent author for the Pennsylvania CPA Journal on accounting and auditing topics. Over the years he has been an active member of IGAF Worldwide, an association of accounting firms, serving on their peer review committee and their business assurance conference committee. Wortmann is also a fellow of the American Board of Forensic Accountants.
