Matt Ross is the Enforcement Director for the Virginia Board of Accountancy and has been in this role since 2022.
Prior to the Board of Accountancy Mr. Ross owned and operated a small law firm in Pennsylvania from 2008 to 2018, with a focus in the areas of real estate, probate, and municipal law. In addition to operating a small firm, Mr. Ross served as a county district attorney from 2008 to 2011, and the county’s top assistant district attorney from 2012 to 2018. In these roles Mr. Ross prosecuted and tired serious crimes including homicide, rape and drug delivery. In 2019, Mr. Ross merged his law firm with a larger regional firm, leading the firm’s residential and commercial real estate division and severing a solicitor for the county’s largest municipality and sewer authority. In 2019, 2020 and 2021, Mr. Ross was named a Pennsylvania super lawyer rising star in the practice areas of real estate and estates.
