Jeff Farr is a prominent business leader and cybersecurity expert with over three decades of experience in the IT industry. He is the owner and CEO of Sera Brynn, a cybersecurity and compliance services firm based in Virginia that has been in business for 12 years. The company provides a range of services, including managed cybersecurity, incident response, digital forensics, penetration testing, and is a third party assessor organization for 3PAO for FedRAMP, StateRAMP, FISMA, CMMC and PCI.
Farr is an expert in residence for Robin Robin's industry-leading Technology Marketing Toolkit, providing thought leadership to TMT's 5,000 plus MSP owners each year. He is a frequent speaker on a variety of topics, including managed services, cybersecurity, leadership, effective communication, general business, business valuations and M&A. He is particularly known for his expertise on managed services and managed security topics, including industry trends, achieving profitability, pricing strategy, buy/sell activity, and best-in-class metrics.
In addition, Farr has made more than 200 TV and radio appearances for FOX, NBC and ABC on Technology and Cybersecurity topics, showcasing his expertise and thought leadership in the industry.
Prior to founding Sera Brynn, Farr was the president of Farr Group, a highly respected IT strategy consulting firm that served large notable publicly traded companies. He was also the former CEO of two managed service providers, both of which were turnaround projects for private equity firms. In these roles, he significantly improved profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, he served as the CEO of a CMMC consultancy.
Early in his career, Farr worked for several leading companies, including E&Y, SAP, EDS, and Cap Gemini. He has a wealth of experience in leading operations, sales, and finance, and is known for his exceptional leadership skills.
Outside of work, Farr is engaged to Kay and is a proud father to Ashton. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and the art of leading & scaling businesses, and is an avid hockey fan.
