Faith Alejandro, J.D., is a member of the Business and Professional Litigation Practice Group and the Government Group at Sands Anderson. She works with employers in the private and public sector to manage workplace disputes, including the prevention and defense of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge and retaliation claims. She also practices commercial and civil litigation with an emphasis on the defense of businesses and their executives from claims related to commercial disputes and professional liability.
Faith’s practice benefits from her work as a judicial law clerk for the City of Richmond Circuit Court and her prior work in the field of mediation and dispute resolution services.
Faith was the national and regional champion of the American Bar Association Representation in Mediation Competition while a law student at the University of Richmond’s School of Law. She was executive editor of the University of Richmond Law Review, and she won the 2010 Family Law Book Award and the CALI Excellence Award in multiple subjects including The Role of the Lawyer in Mediation and Education Law. She was a double major at the University of Virginia, chosen as a member of the Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society and recipient of the Richard Heath Dabney Award.
Faith is included in the 2016 Super Lawyers® as a Virginia Rising Star for business litigation and also in the Virginia Business Magazine’s 2015 Virginia Legal Elite as a rising star. In 2014, Faith was listed in the Lawyers of Color’s Second Annual Hot List.
