The VSCPA is seeking names to consider for nomination to the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA). In order to be able to provide these nominations, the VSCPA works to build a diverse pool of highly qualified individuals interested in serving the CPA profession in this capacity. The Governor appoints all VBOA members, and each member serves a four-year term. Throughout their term, members represent the entire CPA community and work to protect the public. Qualified candidates should possess an open mind, a willingness to represent the CPA profession in a board setting and a commitment to the CPA profession. Becoming a nominee does not guarantee appointment. Click here to read the Virginia statute that governs VBOA membership and click here to apply to enter the nominee pool.
