RFP: Firm needed to perform financial audit & tax services for the VSCPA

The Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA) is seeking interested independent public accounting firms with a physical office in Virginia to perform the financial audits and tax services for the VSCPA, including the VSCPA CPA/PAC and the VSCPA Educational Foundation. Issuance of other reports and letters is expected as appropriate. All firms interested in receiving a copy of the Request For Proposal (RFP) must email their interest to Beth Bickford, VSCPA vice president, finance and administration, at [email protected] by Sept. 17, 2021. Please include the firm name, address and phone number as well as the contact person and an email address. RFPs will be emailed to interested firms on Sept. 22.

Founded in 1909, VSCPA membership consists of more than 13,000 individual members who actively work in public accounting, private industry, government agencies or in educational institutions. Other information:

  • Annual revenues of approximately $6 million.
  • 29 employees.
  • The VSCPA Audit Committee has oversight of the audit process.

The VSCPA Finance Team includes four staff led by the vice president of finance and administration. The Society uses AM.net, a custom association management software, as its general ledger system. Reporting is done using Prophix. The VSCPA Educational Foundation uses Quickbooks Online.
