In June, I sent an email to all members explaining our exciting new technology upgrades coming soon. Now, a few months later, we are gearing up to launch the first part of our digital transformation.
Innovation and agility are part of key VSCPA principles, and we’re upgrading our technology to enhance your member experience, prepare us for future growth, and help achieve strategic priorities. First up: Our member database.
Decades ago, we were one of the first state CPA societies to develop a computerized member database and became a leader in innovation among all states. We’re now migrating to a new database that will make your online experience easier, save staff time, and ensure we can easily provide you with the services you need, such as renewing your membership or signing up for CPE courses. The new database will power our online learning catalog, which will look different once we are live.
All of you experience change management in your organizations every day with technology, whether it’s onboarding new tax filing software, learning new AI solutions to everyday tasks, or implementing any other of the myriad technology solutions available to CPAs. We appreciate your patience as we go live with new systems. You will be asked to reset your password, for example, but be assured your data is secure with us and we’ll do our best to minimize any disruption. We will communicate instructions and how it may impact you along the way.
As with any change in technology, there will be testing and road bumps; during the transitions we remain committed to our value of exceptional quality and service. Once we are over the hurdle with our our database, we’re excited to launch a new, easier-to-navigate website. Stay tuned for more, and as always, I’m open to feedback! Email me anytime.
