The VSCPA now offers several flexible payment options for paying your membership dues! You can now pay your VSCPA membership dues on either an annual or monthly basis.
Pay your annual dues in full by May 31 of each membership year and receive a renewal notice prompting an annual payment the next membership year. If paying by credit card, we also offer the option for automatic annual renewal and your card will be charged each membership year.
While VSCPA does not offer month-to-month membership and your membership is still a year-long commitment, we now offer the option to break your annual fee into monthly installments.
- If you choose the monthly payment option, you'll pay for your annual membership via automatic credit card payments. Payments will be automatically charged to your credit card on the same day each month as your plan began.
- There is a small administrative fee (currently $12) for the monthly option.
- While you may resign your membership at any time, we do not offer refunds and you are responsible for paying any remaining dues balance for your annual commitment.
- Monthly payment options are only available for individual VSCPA members and are not available to group memberships or firm/company billing.
VSCPA Terms and Conditions
By opting into a VSCPA automated flexible payment program for annual membership dues (annually or monthly), you affirm that you have carefully read, understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:
Automated Flexible Payment Terms
If you opt into auto-renew, your VSCPA membership will continue and automatically renew until terminated. You can update your payment information or cancel your renewal at any time on our website at vscpa.com/MyAccount.
While you may resign your membership at any time, we do not offer refunds and you are responsible for paying any remaining dues balance for your annual commitment.
By opting into an automatic membership payment program, you authorize VSCPA to charge your credit card on file, for your membership dues on either a monthly or annual basis (as selected by the member).
Membership dues may change from year to year. Automatic renewals will be charged at the most current rate.
There is a $12 administrative fee to participate in our monthly membership payment program. The $12 fee is charged on your credit card in full as part of your first payment.
To participate in automated payments, you must have a valid credit card set-up for automatic debit. The amount will be charged to your card on file annually or monthly (as selected by the member). If you are signed up for annual auto renewal payments, the charge will appear on May 1 of each membership year and will appear on your statement as Virginia Society of CPAs.
If your card information changes at any time, it is your responsibility to update your card information as soon as possible so that your membership will not be interrupted.
If your card is declined, you have five (5) days to update your card information before you will lose access to your VSCPA member benefits. If your card is declined, you are still responsible for the remaining payments for your annual membership.
If you default on your VSCPA plan payments and do not pay your membership dues in full, you will be responsible for paying the difference in the member and nonmember rate for any paid event, CPE or programming you participated in.
The VSCPA membership year currently runs May 1 to April 30. Depending on when you join the VSCPA, your annual dues and payment timeline will may be prorated. The length of time of the monthly automatic payment plan is variable based on when you join in the membership year. For example:
- If you join the VSCPA or renew your annual dues on May 1, you will have 12 payments with the final payment in the month of April.
- If you join the VSCPA or opt into monthly dues renewal on October 1, you will have 6 payments with the final payment in the month of April.
VSCPA will send email notifications about pending “annual” automatic renewal charges to the preferred email address associated with your membership account. You are responsible for maintaining a current email address that can receive VSCPA emails as the primary email address associated with your account. Inability to receive VSCPA emails will not be regarded as grounds for refund.
Cancellation & Refunds
When you join the VSCPA, you may cancel your membership any time, however we do not offer refunds of any kind. If you are on a monthly payment plan, you are still responsible for paying the remaining balance of your annual membership dues commitment.
