Peter Margaritis, CPA, CGMA, works with CPAs and business leaders to strengthen their business success skills. His programs cover both technical and non-technical topics such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), accounting and auditing updates, presentation skills, business development skills and leadership skills.
Peter has delivered more than 80 seminars, conferences and workshops on both technical and nontechnical topics to clients including eight Fortune 500 companies, six large regional accounting firms, one national accounting firm, nine state CPA associations and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
His background includes a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s degree in accountancy from Case Western Reserve University. He has a certificate in IFRS from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Peter is on faculty at Ohio Dominican University and the University of Maryland at University College. He has worked for companies such as Price Waterhouse, Victoria’s Secret catalogue (not as a model), Gap Inc. Direct, Barnett Bank, C & S National Bank and Franklin University.
He is a member of the AICPA, the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA), the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) and the National Speakers Association. He is the past chair of the OSCPAs’ Executive Board of Directors and is a member of the AICPA Governing Council.
