Jill Edmonds, communications director at the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit communications and journalism. She originally joined the VSCPA in 2003 and has served in various capacities, including as managing editor of Disclosures, the VSCPA’s award-winning member bimonthly member magazine. She leads the VSCPA’s strategic communications initiatives, including print and digital communications and social media. She previously worked at the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists and The Roanoke Times. A native of Blacksburg, she is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives in Ashburn with her husband, Corey, and children Charlotte, Lucy and Spencer.
What excites me the most about my job:
Develop strategies for communicating hot topics to our members – as well as line editing articles (an English major’s true love).
Outside the office, you'll probably find me:
Lifting weights at the gym, running kids to various activities (including competitive gymnastics meets) or vacationing in Europe – if I’m lucky.
