Joseph Petrucelli is the author of "Detecting Fraud In Organizations," and is a frequent speaker at fraud and ethics conferences across the country. This course is based off of his years of experience and his book which focuses on developing strong controls to deter fraud. The basis for Petrucelli's deterrent is based on the "800 lb. Friendly Gorilla" approach which means making people aware that they will probably get caught if they try to defraud the company.
