Peer Review Manager

The Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), a professional state association in Richmond, Va., seeks an organized, independent program manager for its peer review program. Peer review is a periodic outside evaluation of a CPA firm’s accounting and auditing practice that works to ensure the public trust and enhance audit quality. Position reports to the Vice President, Advocacy.

Primary responsibilities

  • Independently manages and administers all aspects of the program
  • Ensures compliance with national requirements
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to program participants
  • Communicates relevant information to program participants
  • Maintains excellent relationship with the national, state and local stakeholders


  • Exceptional project management and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent ability to understand and communicate technical information and regulatory requirements
  • Technologically savvy, comfortable learning new programs, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database skills


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5–7 years professional experience
  • Experience managing or administering a compliance, quality control or regulatory program
  • Experience in working in associations or volunteer management a plus
  • Knowledge or experience in public accounting a plus
