The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) honored 19 young CPAs, including VSCPA members Julie Gustavsson, CPA, and Kyle Viele, CPA, with its first Standing Ovation award, which recognizes the best young CPAs in various specialty credential areas. Gustavsson and Viele were honored in the Information Management and Technology Assurance (IMTA) area.
The IMTA Standing Ovation recognizes CPAs age 40 and under who hold the AICPA’s Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential. Honorees are required to hold an active CPA license, be an AICPA member in good standing, hold the CITP credential and exhibit outstanding professional achievement.
Gustavsson, 36, is a partner and chief operating officer at Keiter in Glen Allen. Viele, 34, is a principal product owner at Capital One in Richmond.
