Randolph-Macon Professor Brat Appointed to VBOA

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell has appointed David Brat, Ph.D., of Randolph-Macon College (RMC) to the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA). He will fill the public member seat on the board.

Brat is the chair of RMC’s Department of Economics and Business and the director of the BB&T Moral Foundations of Capitalism program at the school. He specializes in macro growth economics, international trade and finance, economic methodology and history and ethics.

Brat earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hope College in Michigan. He earned his master’s in divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and his doctorate in economics from American University.
