Each year, the team members of Jones CPA Group perform charitable activities to give back to the community. This year, Norfolk associates volunteered at the Union Mission Ministries, and the Virginia Beach associates volunteered at the Alzheimer’s Association of South Hampton Roads.
The Union Mission Ministries Organization was chosen due to their mission of helping those less fortunate in the community. Two shifts of associates volunteered in the Mission’s warehouse sorting and assembling used items that are sold in the thrift stores.
Our Virginia Beach office associates assisted the Alzheimer’s Association. Several associates have witnessed the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease on loved ones. The associates helped in assembling the flowers that are given to participants of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Our associates find being charitable to the community to be greatly rewarding and fun. The annual CPA Day of Service has proven to be just as beneficial for our firm by creating an opportunity for associates to work together and encourage team building. Performing volunteer services outside of the office provides an opportunity to get to know each other on a more personal level.
