VSCPA Members Running for Office

Beginning in 2004, the CPA PAC Board of Trustees passed a new policy pledging a contribution to any fellow member of the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA) who runs on a state or local ballot.

The following VSCPA members ran for office in 2007:

State:

• Chris Brown, CPA, Democrat, sought election to the House of Delegates in District 52.
  • Hard Work, High Rewards: Chris Brown, CPA, for the 52nd District (July/August 2007 Disclosures article)
• Susie Garner, CPA, Democrat, sought election to the House of Delegates in District 5.
  • Representing Rural Virginia: Susie Dixon Garner, CPA, for the 5th District (July/August 2007 Disclosures article)
• Sen. Walter A. Stosch, CPA, MBA, Republican, successfully sought reelection to the Senate in District 12.

Local:

• James M. Holland, CPA, Democrat, successfully sought election to the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors in the Dale District.
• Kevin Salminen, CPA, Republican, sought election to the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors in the Matoaca District.
