What is CPA Referral Online?

CPA Referral Online is a free tool designed to assist you in building your client base while providing a valuable community service — helping the public find a local CPA and creating awareness on the wealth of services that CPAs provide. The online service is free to the public and allows individuals and businesses to search for a CPA by location, services provided, industries served and size of the firm. In addition, there is no enrollment fee at this time for firm participation.

How does it work?

Individuals or businesses that are looking for a CPA can access CPA Referral Online by visiting the VSCPA Web site or by visiting our consumer Web site FinancialFitness.org. An online database allows the public to search for a CPA firm by city, professional services, industry and firm size. The public can even find CPA firms that accommodate a foreign language(s). Once the criteria are entered, the database quickly produces a list of matches in alphabetical order. For more information on a particular firm, you must click on the firm name, and the complete firm profile and contact information will be displayed.

How does the public find out about CPA Referral Online?

The VSCPA markets CPA Referral Online via press releases and public service announcements to the media and chambers of commerce; online through VSCPA.com and FinancialFitness.org; print and radio advertising; and promotional flyers.

Who can participate in CPA Referral Online?

Any firm that meets the following criteria can participate:

• At least one member, partner or shareholder must be a member in good standing with the VSCPA. (If no one in your firm is a member, please click here to submit an online membership application or call (800) 733-8272.)
• Participating firms and sole practitioners must be in good standing and appropriately registered and/or licensed with the Virginia Board of Accountancy.
• The firm must understand that the VSCPA serves only as an intermediary between prospective clients and participants of in the CPA Referral Online.

How much does the service cost?

Absolutely nothing! The online service is FREE to the public and there is no enrollment fee at this time for firm participation.
