Congress Okays Minimum Wage Hike

Last week, U.S. Congress approved a raise of $2.10 for minimum wage, marking the first minimum wage increase in nearly 10 years, to $7.25.

Workers who make $5.15 now would see a 70-cent increase by the end of the summer, 70 cents more next year, and the full $7.25 wage would be phased in by 2009.
