Virginia Board of Accountancy

The Virginia Board of Accountancy is the state regulatory agency that licenses Virginia CPAs, registers CPA firms, handles CPA Exam administration and enforces the regulations that govern Virginia CPAs. The BOA comprises five CPAs, one educator in the field of accountancy and one citizen member. Each member is appointed by the governor to serve a four-year term, and each cannot serve more than two consecutive terms.
