Student Membership
The VSCPA offers an official student membership for college and university students. For just $15 per year, student members receive a host of benefits including discounts on CPA Exam review courses; free copy of New Accountant magazine; free subscriptions to Disclosures magazine, Footnote e-newsletter and Advi$or student e-newsletter; and much more!
High School Accounting Club
The VSCPA High School Accounting Club is a membership program developed to provide high school students with information, resources and networking opportunities as they prepare for a new career. It's free to join and student receive a free subscription to Disclosures magazine, Footnote e-newsletter and Advi$or student e-newsletter.
VSCPA Speakers Bureau
As a member of the VSCPA Speakers Bureau, CPAs are matched with Virginia high schools to provide information and materials about the CPA profession and its diverse career opportunities for students.
The CPA Connection
This exciting mentoring program was developed to connect experienced CPAs with college students — to offer career advice, answer questions, provide networking opportunities, and strengthen the student's professional and academic experience.
Scholarships & Grants
The VSCPA Educational Foundation awards more than $25,000 in scholarships each year to Virginia's best and brightest undergraduate, minority undergraduate and graduate accounting students. In 2002, the Foundation began offering $1500 grants to high school teachers through a pilot program with Virginia Beach Public Schools.
Awards of Achievement
The VSCPA offers the Award of Achievement to outstanding accounting students at Virginia colleges and universities, community and junior colleges, and high schools.
Chapter Student Events
The VSCPA helps chapters with student events, which includes providing information to students on accounting careers and the VSCPA. The VSCPA Development & Academic Relations Director attends events to gather feedback and share VSCPA student resources.

Located at CPAStudentZone.com, the VSCPA student Web site is a comprehensive resource center for accounting education and the CPA profession, including a wealth of information and materials for students and educators of all grade levels, updates on computer-based CPA Exam, online internship database and more!
High School Educator Ambassador
New in 2003, the membership program for high school teachers and guidance counselors will provide an additional window of opportunity to reach students about the career opportunities in the CPA profession. Teachers can also be used as resources for planning VSCPA student and educator programs on the high school level.
High School Educators' Symposium
Created in 2001, the High School Educators' Symposium provides high school teachers and guidance counselors with material and information that will enhance their curriculum and career programs to encourage students to pursue accounting degrees.
Educator Membership
College and university accounting educators are eligible for VSCPA membership. Those who have their CPA certificate are fellow members and those without are associate members. New benefits for educators include Educator Insider bimonthly e-newsletter, Accounting Chair Forum and other benefits like Educators' Symposium.
Educators' Symposium
The VSCPA Educators' Symposium is designed to foster communication among accounting educators at Virginia's colleges and universities. In its seventh year, the popular event focuses on hot topics and issues facing accounting education and the CPA profession.
