VSCPA Nonprofit Pro Bono Assistance Program | Top
Through the VSCPA Nonprofit Pro Bono Assistance Program, Virginia CPAs provide free assistance and advice on financial issues to charitable nonprofits in need in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Some examples of financial advice include: tax preparation, auditing, financial management, etc. We also send out openings to our CPA members if you're trying to fill a vacancy on your board of directors.
Financial Fitness University | Top
Through Financial Fitness University, the VSCPA connects free CPA speakers with organizations that seek training on financial literacy topics. The program provides knowledgeable CPA instructors to address financial issues with employees, members and/or constituents on site. Topic examples include preparing a budget, saving and investing, understanding credit, estate and retirement planning, taxes, small business advice, nonprofit financial issues and more. Nonprofits can also download free resources, such as articles, paycheck inserts, flyers and table tents, for continuing financial education.
Virginia Disaster Recovery Help | Top
Through the Virginia Disaster Recovery Help program, Virginia CPAs help businesses and individuals prepare for and recover from the financial and tax consequences of natural disasters. CPA volunteers provide free financial and tax advice to businesses and individuals requesting assistance. The VSCPA also offers an online Disaster Recovery Resource Center with links to information for individuals and businesses on steps to take prior to a disaster, during disaster and in the aftermath of disaster.

CPA Referral Online matches individuals and businesses that need professional financial services with CPA firms in their geographic region. This free referral service allows the public to easily search for an individual CPA or firm by name, location, services offered, industries served and size of the firm.
AICPA Audit Committee Toolkit: Not-For-Profit Organizations | Top
Audit committees have a big job to do in an organization — tough when the members have other responsibilities and the audit committee role is a part-time job with huge accountability. The Audit Committee Toolkit: Not-For-Profit Organizations, developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), is designed to help audit committees do the job they need to do as effectively and efficiently as possible.
