Virginia Financial Literacy Month

The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) serves as a catalyst for the month — as part of its award-winning campaign to improve the financial literacy of all Virginians. The VSCPA hopes the commemorative month, along with other outreach activities, will build awareness for the importance of wise money management as well as recognize and encourage other Virginia organizations to make a difference in financial education.

The VSCPA offers a variety of supportive resources to help Virginia organizations get involved in Virginia Financial Literacy Month, including:

• Commemorative logo
• Promotional flyer 
• Press release template
• 10 quick and easy promotion ideas

To celebrate the month, the VSCPA will offer pro bono promotional activities and resources during April, including:

• Financial Fitness Day (Statewide community service event)
• Financial Fitness Workshops (FREE consumer workshops at Richmond CPA Center)
• CPA Speakers Bureau (FREE financial training brought to your door)
• "Ask a CPA" E-mail Program (FREE financial advice from CPAs)
• Financial Fitness Insider (FREE monthly e-newsletter on money management topics)
• Educator Resource Center (Online resources for Virginia educators, including financial literacy presentations, curriculums, best practices and more)
