Financial Fitness Day 2008

The Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA) is gearing up for the fourth year of its statewide community service event called Financial Fitness Day. This event is part of the financial literacy initiative, called Financial Fitness, and designed to improve the financial health of Virginians.

Financial Fitness Day will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Volunteer CPAs will man informational booths around the state from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offer free resources and materials to the public on money management and fiscal responsibility topics.

Booths will be held at the following locations:

• Charlottesville: Fashion Square Mall at 1600 E. Rio Road
• Fredericksburg: Wal-Mart at 1800 Carl D. Silver Parkway
• Harrisonburg: Valley Mall at 1925 E. Market Street
• Martinsville: Liberty Fair Mall at Commonwealth Boulevard West
• Northern Virginia: Booth #1 (Manassas Mall at 8300 Sudley Road, Manassas); Booth #2 (Wal-Mart at 13059 Fair Lakes Center, Fairfax) and Booth #3 (Wal-Mart at 950 Edwards Ferry Road, N.E., Leesburg)
• Richmond: Booth #1 (Wal-Mart at 7430 Bell Creek Road, Mechanicsville); Booth #2 (Wal-Mart at 7901 Brook Road) and Booth #3 (Wal-Mart at 2501 Sheila Lane)
• Roanoke: Wal-Mart at 4807 Valley View Boulevard
• Tidewater: Booth #1 (Chesapeake Square Mall at 4200 Portsmouth Boulevard, Chesapeake) and Booth #2 (Pembroke Mall at 4554 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Virginia Beach)
