ACPEN Webcasts

Exciting news! The VSCPA Education Team recently partnered with ACPEN, a member of the NASBA-approved Business Professionals' Network, to offer discounted CPE webcasts for VSCPA members.

ACPEN webcasts are live satellite broadcasts of group study seminars over the Internet. That means, you attend the same course hours, take the same breaks, earn the same CPE credits and ask questions just like classroom attendees — only you attend classes from your computer, wherever you have Internet access.

This convenient, low-cost CPE option enables you to attend courses taught by national instructors on a variety of topics, including accounting and auditing, government and nonprofit and taxation. You can also archive webcasts for quick reference later. Designed for flexibility and affordability, eight-hour ACPEN webcasts cost only $199 for VSCPA members and $249 for nonmembers. Two- and four-hour webcasts are also available. Please visit our ACPEN site for dates, topics and availability.

As a courtesy to you, ACPEN offers FREE demos, enabling you to test your system capabilities prior to purchasing any webcast.

Generally speaking, you can watch ACPEN webcasts over a dial-up/modem connection; however, the broadcast quality is better with a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL or cable. Please note that you must have a sound card in your computer as well as speakers and/or headphones to hear the webcast.

As a participant, you must be present during the entire webcast to receive full CPE credit. Your attendance is measured by submitting a simple code throughout the webcast. Only those participants who submit all four parts of the code will receive full CPE credit. Participants who submit partial codes will receive a certificate granting appropriate partial credit in two-hour increments for each part of the code submitted. Following the webcast, the Business Professionals' Network will send your CPE credit certificate via e-mail. For additional ACPEN webcast registration details, please click here.

To register for any ACPEN webcast, please visit our ACPEN site and follow ACPEN's instructions for attending the webcast. For technical support, please contact ACPEN directly at (877) 880-1335 or start a live chat with ACPEN tech support.
