VSCPA Foundation Wins Award for Annual Fund Campaign in 2008 Virginia Public Relations Awards

The VSCPA Educational Foundation won a Certificate of Merit in the direct mail/direct response category of the 2008 Virginia Public Relations Awards, a statewide awards competition sponsored by the  Richmond Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The special awards dinner was held Thursday, June 12.

The VSCPA Foundation received the Bronze Certificate of Merit award in the direct mail/direct response category for its Annual Fund direct marketing campaign. The Educational Foundation Annual Fund supports the organization’s overall goal of attracting future CPAs. This specific direct response campaign aimed to increase the Annual Fund donor base and overall contributions, especially targeting new donors. The campaign focused on Virginia CPAs, who have a vested interest in ensuring their profession remains strong and well staffed with the best and brightest new employees.

“The awards honor Virginia’s best work in public relations,” said Felicia F. McLemore, APR, PRSA Richmond president. “Virginia’s PR professionals continue to produce high-caliber work, and this year was no exception.”

Now in its 61st year, the prestigious Virginia Public Relations Awards program recognizes stellar public relations and communications activities based on excellence and innovation in research, planning, execution and evaluation. The judges were members of the Maine Public Relations Council.
