The Leaders' Institute

June 27–29, 2008, at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business

With a generous $100,000 gift from accounting and consulting firm Beers & Cutler, the VSCPA Educational Foundation has established The Leaders' Institute. The 2008 event will take place at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.

Specifically designed for the top 100 college accounting students from across the state, the Institute seeks to develop the future leaders of the CPA profession. During the three-day program, students will develop their interviewing, leadership and team building skills, while also learning more about business etiquette, choosing the right employer, surviving the CPA Exam, managing personal finances and transitioning into the marketplace.

The Institute is available to those rising college seniors who have displayed exceptional academic achievement within their accounting major. Participants include VSCPA Educational Foundation scholarship recipients, as well as students recommended by accounting educators across Virginia.
