The VSCPA maintains this Web site (the "Web site") for your personal information, education and communication. Please feel free to browse the Web site. You may download material displayed on the Web site for non-commercial, personal use, provided you also retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials. You may not, however, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, repost or use the content of the Web site for public or commercial purposes, including the text and images, without the VSCPA's written permission.

The VSCPA, its Web site images and text, all page headers, custom graphics and button icons are service marks, trademarks and/or trade dress of the VSCPA and may not be used by others without prior written permission of the VSCPA. All use thereof inures to the benefit of the VSCPA. All other trademarks, product names and company names or logos cited in this Web site are the property of their respective owners.

Collection and Disclosing Information

The VSCPA Web site has many sections that are open to all users, with no registration required. For these sections, no software tracks e-mail addresses of users. However, the Web server does track domain names for security purposes and for information regarding the nature and extent of the Web site's usage.

Users are not required to disclose any personal information in order to view the Web site. The VSCPA may gather some personal identifiable information when it is voluntarily submitted by the user. The types of information collected may include your name, e-mail address, phone number and postal address. This information is used for its intended purpose, and to better serve the users. All personally identifiable information obtained from users is treated with great care to protect your privacy and security. The management of the VSCPA authorizes only trained and qualified employees to access the information you choose to provide. The information volunteered is used solely by the VSCPA and will not be shared with unrelated outside parties.

From time to time, we may use your address, phone number or e-mail address to provide you with updates and other information we think may be of interest to you. Your ability to opt out of such information is discussed below.

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail. We do not currently sell e-mail addresses to any third party.

We also collect information volunteered by users in relation to Web site registrations. This information is kept confidential by the VSCPA and is not used for purposes outside of the intent of the registration.

Links into the Web site must be by prior written approval of the VSCPA. No other links into the Web site are permitted. To obtain written permission, e-mail us and reference the material you wish to use.

Unless they have prior written permission from us to do so, third-parties (i) are not permitted to advertise in any way that suggests that we have any relationship or affiliation with a third-party Web site or that we endorse, sponsor or recommend the information, products or services on such Web site; (ii) cannot use any of our names, logos, designs, slogans, product trademarks or service marks in any advertising, publicity, promotion or in any other commercial matter; and (iii) cannot use any of our names, logos, designs, slogans, product trademarks or service marks, or any other words or codes identifying the Web site, in any "metatag" or other information used by search engines or other information location tools to identify and select Web sites.

Some areas of the Web site are password-protected for specific users, such as members of the VSCPA. For those areas, the VSCPA disseminates the username and password to the appropriate individuals.

The VSCPA treats all personally identifiable information collected on the Web site as securely as possible. If you do not want your information to be accessible to other members via our online membership directories, please click here (you will be asked for your last name and member number for verification) and follow the on-screen instructions.

Personal Information Protection

As a user of the Web site, you are responsible for keeping your password (member number) safe. To do so, the VSCPA highly recommends that you do not divulge your VSCPA password to anyone for your own protection. If you feel your account access or password has been compromised, please contact the VSCPA immediately.

As a user of the VSCPA Web site, you are solely responsible to make sure your personal information is up-to-date and correct. The VSCPA is not responsible for any incorrect information entered by a user.
