2011–2012 Austin M. Cloyd, Matthew G. Gwaltney & Maxine S. Turner Doctoral Scholarship
The Austin M. Cloyd, Matthew G. Gwaltney & Maxine S. Turner Doctoral Scholarship was developed by the VSCPA Educational Foundation to honor and remember the lives of students of Virginia accounting families who were lost in the tragic events at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007. Generous donations from VSCPA members and accounting firms in Virginia have made it possible for the Foundation to provide this financial support to students pursuing a doctoral degree in accounting at Virginia Tech. This $2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving student who is enrolled in the Ph.D. program in accounting at Virginia Tech and who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need.
Applications for the 2011-2012 academic year are due no later than December 31, 2010. Applications will be available for download this summer.

- Be accepted or currently enrolled in the doctoral accounting program at Virginia Tech.
- Demonstrate a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Be a full-time doctoral student at Virginia Tech and enrolled for the 2010-2011 academic year.
