VSCPA Educational Foundation Receives $50,000 Gift from Murray, Jonson, White & Associates to Establish Scholarship

The VSCPA Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of a student scholarship by Murray, Jonson, White & Associates. The $50,000 named scholarship from Murray, Jonson, White & Associates will be established in conjunction with the firm's 50th anniversary in 2009.

The Murray, Jonson, White & Associates Scholarship will be awarded each year to an accounting major planning to take the CPA Exam. The student must be currently enrolled in an accredited Virginia college or university and demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.

“Throughout the firm’s history, many Murray, Jonson, White & Associates principals and staff have volunteered their time and effort to support the accounting profession as well as their communities,” said Randy Shapiro, CPA, managing partner of Murray, Jonson, White & Associates. “To continue this tradition, we are very proud to announce the establishment of the Murray, Jonson, White & Associates educational scholarship. In honor of our 50th anniversary, we have pledged to raise a minimum of $50,000 in contributions.”
