When does membership renewal begin? | TopMembership begins on May 1 each year. Many members ask if they can pay their membership dues prior to May 1, so we’ve enabled our online renewal system for anyone who would like to renew now. (Log in required.) Renew online or call (800) 733-8272.
What percentage of my dues is deductible? | Top
In compliance with the Revenue Reconciliation Act of 1993, 99% of your membership dues may be deductible as a business expense. However, 1% may not be deductible as allocable expenses to state and federal lobbying activities of this organization.
How are contributions to the PAC used? | TopThe VSCPA Political Action Committee (PAC) is a bipartisan committee that financially assists candidates and legislators who support CPA interests. PAC contributions, combined with strong advocacy efforts from the VSCPA, help to safeguard your profession in Virginia. Please give to the PAC when you renew your membership.
How are contributions to the Foundation used? | TopThe VSCPA Educational Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting future CPAs. The Foundation rewards academic excellence and encourages students to pursue careers in accounting through a variety of scholarships.
