Register by October 7 for seminars on November 7–8, by November 11 for seminars on December 12–13 and by November 14 for the seminar on December 14 to receive the lowest price — $275 for members and $375 for nonmembers. After this date, 8-hour seminars cost $325 for members and $425 for nonmembers. Cost includes course materials, instruction, lunch and beverage breaks.

Ethics 2011 Your License Depends on It! costs $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers.

The VSCPA offers an array of money-saving discounts, including:

  • $50 early registration discount: All courses are marked with an early registration deadline. Receive a $50 discount on each course for which you register before the early registration deadline. For example, if you register for three courses in the Don Farmer Tax Cluster in Richmond before November 11 (the earliest deadline), take $50 off each course, $150 total.
  • $100 VSCPA member discount on 8-hour seminars: The $100 VSCPA member discount is automatic for all members of the VSCPA or any other state CPA society. Members of the AICPA who are not members of a state CPA society are NOT entitled to the member discount and should pay the regular course fee as published.
  • Government vouchers: The VSCPA accepts government vouchers.

Don Farmer, CPA, is president of Don Farmer, CPA, PA. A former tax partner with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, he resigned his position as partner and became a consultant in order to devote most of his time to writing and lecturing. Each year, Farmer writes and presents CPE programs across the U.S., making presentations in more than 40 states.

Walter H. Nunnallee, CPA, J.D., LL.M., is a professor of tax law at North Carolina Central University School of Law. He is the author of numerous tax articles published in The Tax Lawyer, Tax Notes and The Review of Taxation of Individuals. Nunnallee also frequently lectures at tax conferences, including the University of Montana School of Law Tax Institute, the University of North Carolina School of Law Annual Tax Institute and other state tax institutes. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA), the North Carolina Bar Association and also serves on the board of advisors of the J. Nelson Young Tax Institute.
