Williamsburg Instructors | Top

Arthur Auerbach, CPA, is an independent tax consultant. A popular and well-rounded instructor, he has managed a tax department, taught intermediate and cost accounting at Pace University, been an editor for the Tax Research Institute of America, authored several articles for trade association periodicals and appeared on television evening news programs answering various tax questions.

William Loscalzo, CPA, MBA, is the managing member in the firm of Loscalzo & Company, LLC, and an author and discussion leader for Loscalzo Associates P.A. Loscalzo has been the vice president of Smith, Barney Real Estate Corporation, where he was responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of Security Capital Corporation, a public financial service holding company managed by a subsidiary of Smith, Barney. He has served as the director of real estate management for Executive Monetary Management, Inc., in New York City, and previously spent seven years with Arthur Andersen & Co. in New York.

8-hour seminars cost $375 for state CPA society members and $475 for nonmembers. (Course number 3-142 above costs $349 for state CPA society members and $449 for nonmembers.) Cost includes course materials, instruction, lunch and beverage breaks.

The VSCPA offers an array of money-saving discounts, including:

  • $50 early registration discount: All courses are marked with an early registration deadline. Receive a $50 discount on each course for which you register before the early registration deadline. For example, if you register for two courses in the Williamsburg Accounting, Auditing & Tax CPE Cluster before November 9 (the earliest deadline), take $50 off each course, $100 total.
  • $100 VSCPA member discount on 8-hour seminars: The $100 VSCPA member discount is automatic for all members of the VSCPA or any other state CPA society. Members of the AICPA who are not members of a state CPA society are NOT entitled to the member discount and should pay the regular course fee as published.
  • Multiple seminar registration discount: Register for three or more VSCPA 8-hour seminars before October 1, 2010, and receive $25 off each seminar (must register at the same time for all courses). For example, register for two courses in the Williamsburg Accounting, Auditing & Tax CPE Cluster and the Don Farmer Federal Tax Update on December 15 in Richmond, and take $25 off each registration fee, total $75. (You may register for more than three, but you must register for all seminars at the same time and complete the registration by October 1, 2010.)
  • Government vouchers: The VSCPA accepts government vouchers.
