*A webcast is just like attending a course in person; the only difference is that webcast participants attend via the Internet. Ethics webcast participants see a live broadcast of the course and ask questions just like classroom attendees. There is no test at the end of the ethics webcast, but you will be required to report assigned codes to ACPEN periodically during the webcast to show your continued attendance in order to receive full credit.
**The “replay” is a replay of the live webcast with panelists standing by, in real time, to respond to participant questions. The live replay includes all original content and materials and allows for live CPE credit by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
The in-person events and webcasts listed are group, live update programs. SmartPros is a self-study program. There are no prerequisites or advanced preparation for ethics events. The Virginia Society of CPAs is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417. Website: www.nasba.org
