Footnote Advertising Information

Footnote is the premier e-newsletter of the Virginia Society of CPAs. Published monthly, this HTML newsletter reaches approximately 9,000 CPAs and accounting professionals in private business, government, industry, education and public accounting. Virginia’s CPAs play a unique and vital role in the success and growth of business, soundness of government operations, excellence of higher education, and the protection and confidence of investors.  Footnote has an average 30-40% open rate with a 12% click through rate – both rates are higher than the industry average.  Statistics on URL usage can be provided upon request.  Advertising spaces are on the right side of the editorial content.  One advertising space is available at the top of the page.  Two additional advertising spaces are available towards under the "About Me" section.  Placement is based on contract date.

 

Footnote Copy Protection Clause: Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all content (including text) of advertisements. The Virginia Society of CPAs reserves the right to reject paid advertising that does not meet VSCPA qualifications or which may detract from its professional and ethical standards.

Contact VSCPA Marketing Consultant Kathleen Cunningham at (804) 274-9102 or kcunningham@vscpa.com to be sure space is available in the issue(s) in which you wish to advertise.  You will be emailed or faxed an ad contract, which must be signed and returned to the VSCPA before space for your ad will be reserved.

 


 

Mechanical Specifications | Top

All advertisements or logos must be a JPG image that is 216 pixels wide by 108 pixels high.  Animated ads are unacceptable. Include a click-through URL (Ex: www.vscpa.com) for your ad.


 

Ad Rates | Top

Top Ad Placement: 12 months - $3,600; 6 months - $1,800; 3 months - $1,050

Bottom Ad Placement: 12 months - $2,000; 6 months - $1,000; 3 months - $650


 

Ad Deadlines | Top

All ads must be received by the VSCPA at least two weeks prior to the insertion date. Footnote is sent on the first Tuesday of each month. Ads received after 5 p.m. on the due dates cannot be guaranteed placement in a desired issue. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to get the logo/URL to the VSCPA on time. Advertisers who contract for space and do not provide logo/URL or cancel an ad after the respective monthly deadline will be billed for the space as specified in the contract.
