Peoples Income Tax President & CEO Chuck McCabe Agrees to Stop Running Anti-CPA Ads

The VSCPA recently became aware that Peoples Income Tax was running television commercials on NBC12 in Richmond asking “Do I really need an expensive CPA?” and stating that its services cost less than accounting firms.

The VSCPA and its members felt ads of this nature demeaned the quality of CPA services and contained derogatory references to the CPA profession. That’s why the VSCPA sent a letter to Peoples Income Tax President & CEO Chuck McCabe on January 26, 2010, asking him to discontinue these ads.

On Monday, February 8, McCabe responded that he would discontinue these ads. The VSCPA is grateful for Peoples Income Tax's swift response.
