The vision of the VSCPA Educational Foundation is to be the premier resource promoting integrity and excellence in the accounting profession by partnering with and benefiting business, academia and society at large. The Foundation strives to improve awareness and perceptions by educating students, educators and the public about the exciting, challenging opportunities available to CPAs. By providing accounting scholarships, we can increase interest in accounting careers.Your financial support will assist us in reaching our goals:
- Become the largest provider of accounting scholarships and awards in Virginia
- Significantly increase contributions and loyalty of member and nonmember donor base
- Responsibly manage the Foundation's financial assets and communicate with contributors
- Increase knowledge of the accounting profession, Educational Foundation and VSCPA career programs among educators, students, members and the public

VSCPA Educational Foundation Scholarship
Based on academic achievement, written essay and letters of recommendation, the Foundation awarded over $22,000 in undergraduate, minority undergraduate and graduate scholarships this year. However, additional funds are needed to increase the number and dollar amount of scholarships awarded and to enhance their visibility. To guarantee that today's promising students become the future stars of the CPA profession, the VSCPA wishes to award hundreds of scholarships annually, compared to the dozen or so scholarships presently awarded per year. Goodman & Company Annual Scholarship
The Goodman & Company Annual Scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior accounting major currently enrolled in an accredited Virginia college or university who has demonstrated academic excellence and financial need to pursue a career in public accounting. This $2,500 scholarship is administered by the VSCPA Educational Foundation and funded by a generous contribution from Goodman & Company. A gift to the Educational Foundation, no matter the amount, has an impact. Your contribution represents a tangible symbol of support for the future of your profession. Individual donations are accepted at the following levels:
Individual
- Summa Cum Laude — $1,000 or more
- Magna Cum Laude — $500 to $999
- Cum Laude — $100 to $499
- Dean's List — $50 to $99
- Honor Roll — $25 to $49
Firm or Company
- Diamond Circle — $50,000 or more
- Platinum Circle — $25,000 to $49,999
- Gold Circle — $10,000 to $24,999
- Silver Circle — $5,000 to $9,999
